FLOW ‘N SENSE

In ancient times, humans had limited abilities to modify their environment, and Feng Shui emerged as a response to natural disasters and threats, shaping settlement patterns. The flow of wind and the presence of mountains guided the arrangement of spaces, evolving from scattered practices into a coherent system. Today, Feng Shui is preserved due to its human-centred principles. In a modern context, the challenge is to rediscover the wisdom of traditional dwellings, moving beyond superstition to incorporate these principles into contemporary living with renewed relevance.

BACKGROUND

Feng Shui, meaning "wind and water," is a practice rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy, applied in site selection and interior design to achieve harmony between humans and nature. Its practical application is not tied to any specific religious belief. The primary goal of Feng Shui is to respect the environment while utilising natural elements to enhance living and residential spaces, aiming to improve the quality of life by optimizing the use of existing environmental conditions.

INSPIRATION

The environment we live in is dynamic, not a static outcome. This modern "Feng Shui" device is inspired by the elements of water, light, and wind. Its rechargeable base symbolizes the power of the earth, with its shape resembling the ancient circular compass, a symbol of harmony and inclusiveness. While the three elements can function independently, they ultimately merge and are grounded in the earth, reflecting the balance between natural forces and the land that sustains us.
